Import information from files

Camel Disc Catalog can be extended by plugins.

File plugins assosiated with certain extensions. List of supported extensions you can view in Settings dialog (menu item: "Settings\Plugins". Ther you can choose what plugin will process certain necessary file type. You can also turn off processing certain extension or even disable all plugins to speed up scanning process and reduce size of base.

images.dll	bmp, jpg, jpeg, png, gif, pcx, pnm, tif, tiff, xbm, xpm, ico, cur, ani, iff, tga, targa	Graphical plugin. Extract such fields: Width, Height, Images count, Alpha channel, Thumbnail (preview image), EXIF data.
freeimages.dll	bmp, cut, dds, exr, g3, gif, hdr, ico, iff, lbm, j2k, j2c, jng, jp2, jpg, jif, jpeg, jpe, koa, zng, pbm, pcd, pcx, pgm, png, ppm, psd, ras, sgi, tga, targa, tif, tiff, wap, wbm, wbmp, xbm, xpm	Graphical plugin. Difference between images.dll and freeimages.dll: first support EXIF field in JPG and JPEG files. But freeimages.dll is faster.

Import information from websites

With help of webimport.dll plugin you can import inmormation from websites.

 

Plugin	Elements types	Description
webimport.dll	Disk, folder, file	Extracted fields: Movie Name, Director, Writer, Release Date, Plot Outline, Genre, Cover (picture).

 

Supported resourses:

 

1. IMDB.com - movie description + cover. English.
2. GameGuru.ru - game description + cover. English.
3. Collectorz.com - movie description + cover. English.
4. Kinopoisk.ru - movie description + cover. Russian.
5. World-Art.ru - animee description + cover. Russian.

 

For data import you need to activate context menu on selected element (on disk, folder or file) (see screenshot below) and choose item "Import info->Import information from WEB sites".

 

 

Then correct search name if needed and choose website. Usualy it finds more than one variant, so you need to choose most suitable.
